Foundation
In July 1970, Rolf Bronckhorst laid the foundations of his service company BRONCKHORST KG, with the objective of marketing technically sophisticated industrial products made in France. From the very start we have been selling components for mechanical and plant engineering as well as semi-finished non-ferrous metal products.

In 1989 the company was restructured as a GmbH, i.e. a limited liability company by German law, and since 2000 the company has been run under its current name BRONCKHORST GmbH TechProducts + Services. We have been based in Düsseldorf ever since our foundation. In 1991 we moved into our own office complex in Heerdt, a suburb on the left bank of the Rhine.

Business philosophy
For over 50 years now, we have been organizing the German sales operations for a solid base of suppliers throughout Europe. Long-term relationships with suppliers and customers alike are extremely important for us. We have been serving numerous regular customers for more than four decades.

Our business units remain constantly in tune with marketplace changes. Our maxim is to offer our customers the broadest possible range of interesting and complementary products.

Business lines
In the field of semi-finished Non-Ferrous Metal products, up to the millennium we operated as the sales organization of an internationally active manufacturer of semi-finished products, with several plants throughout Europe. After a reorientation phase, in 2002 we started to import semi-finished brass products in the form of extruded and drawn bars for turning and stamping workshops, stockholders as well as ingots for metal foundries.

Our Components for Mechanical and Plant Engineering division has been constantly expanded to fulfil the requirements of our loyal customer base. Our original area of activity, that of castings, was soon followed by welded constructions, forged items and worked parts (with a focus on gear systems). Today our production plants, virtually all of which are medium-sized owner-managed operations, are predominantly located in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, France, the Czech Republic and Turkey.

Since March 2013, our Steel Bar Imports division has been responsible for continuing the activities of Klaus Dee GmbH. By taking over the company’s workforce and its customer and supplier contacts, we have managed to guarantee the continuity of business relations. The import of high-quality steel bars from Europe and China primarily serves the supply of the stockholding trade in Europe.

Employees
Our workforce has expanded parallel to the development of the individual divisions. After starting out as a one-man operation, we now have ten permanently employed staff on the payroll. As a service-oriented company, our employees and their profound knowledge of the markets and products are our greatest asset. The polyglot composition of our staff forms the basis of our international orientation.
